Pirate code is a leadership blog for free thinkers, rebels and pirates; those who want to make things better and achieve more by being innovative, challenging the status quo and most importantly being authentic and staying true to themselves. It's for those leaders and aspiring leaders who care for their crew.
I am an operations expert and leadership blogger, on a mission to make things better.
I am an authentic leader with a rebel mindset, who cares about people and results.
I write for bold business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders in operations and human resources, so that they can get better results and create great cultures for their people.
"Helping others achieve more, by showcasing the importance of authenticity and innovation by being a bold, good rebel"
After spending 25 years chasing that elusive unicorn that is the corporate dream- like the unicorn, it does not exist! There is always something that appears better that requires more sacrifices and usually selling your soul in some way shape or form. I'm not the guy who's goal is to be the old bloke in a sports car, as someone else will always have a newer or better model anyway! I've finally found happiness by accepting me as me and measuring success on my true goals- To make things better and to enjoy life, as you don't know how long that journey will last.
I can't make things better if I do what everyone else does and if I don't challenge the status quo. I see myself as a rebel, but in a good way: I've found better ways through free thinking, to get better results and I have always tried to look after my crew.
I am that guy who has opinions on most things and I've found that people have shown an interest, so its probably time to share them with a wider audience.
I believe I've stayed authentic and true to myself; if someone has wanted me to be like them or like someone else, I've told them to go fuck themselves and chosen to be me somewhere else. People matter and results matter- far more than massaging the ego of someone who is probably deep down insecure or wants to maintain the status quo as its in their personal interest.
"Embracing my inner rebel and being me!"
